Get on the right route to weight loss with ginger root

You might think of your fire headed friend when you hear the term “ginger”.

But now, you can also think of the kinda fire that burns up your fat.

Thanks to this nice spice:

With its heaps of health ‘n weight loss benefits, ginger’s definitely a dietary gem.

I mean, I’ve always enjoyed the stuff. It’s a fabulous yes-and to my vegan sushi ventures. That said, I never really thought about it on a weight loss (or maintenance) level until more recently. See, a bunch’ve studies were done on the stuff. And, it turns out that by chewing on this root, you’ve got nada to lose – except a lotta weight and ailments. And how’s it make you drop pounds? Because it attacks the causes of weight gain from all angles – from appetite suppressing to hormone regulation to metabolic boost-age. In fact, you may’ve heard (about a million times, if you read this site at all) how cortisol can cause the bummer that is belly blubber. So, instead’ve fighting the blubber, why not kill the cause of it? At its (…wait for it…) root? Like, by fixing the cortisol imbalance? Well, according to a a study published in the Biological and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, ginger can accomplish exactly that by kinda playing contraception to your cortisol baby before it can be born into your system ‘n make you massive.

What’s more, the stuff’ll stymie that ravenous appetite of yours, too.

Feeling the need to overeat lately? Try a bit’ve ginger for the win. Because, in yet another research effort, published in Metabolism in 2012, subjects sipping some ginger tea pre-supper were less hungry, consumed fewer cals, and felt fuller overall than the ginger-free control group. And this one I can vouch for. See, when you’re eating out, most folks want bread to tame the tummy beast ’til the main course comes. But, in reality, something like ginger’d be superior. Why? Well, when I’m waiting on my soosh at the local Tokyo J. Steakhouse, a few slices of this good stuff will simmer down the demon of nomming. Bread, on the contrary, has just enough time to shoot my blood glucose up and back into the red, making me even hungrier by the time my entree arrives. (Hungrier than when I even walked in the door.) Ginger does the opposite, allowing you to eat “just enough”. And that’s ideal, because soosh night’s usually one I’m likely to overdo – but not with a few slices of this good stuff, pumping the brakes on my juggernaut jaw.

(“If I can’t see the calories, do they still count?”)

But, if you wanna talk actual results, ya might wanna check the study on rats that European Review for Medical and Pharmacological Sciences published. After taking a pile of fat rats, and pumping ’em full of the stuff, (and by “pumping”, I mean meticulously measured increments, compared against control groups, and carefully considered experimental variables), they noted something astonishing. Ginger had the same effect on rodent weight loss as other popular weight loss meds many like to use. Except you A.) don’t need to overpay for prescription, B.) don’t get any side effects, and C.) aren’t contributing to a katrillion dollar industry invested in keeping ya sick ’cause sickness is income for them. *End rant*

F’real though… All of that health and weight loss wonder in one delicious food?

This is definitely a root worth rooting for.
