Why you should be eating more of this vitamin to lose weight

You’ve been noticing it for a while.

Every morning you pop on those jogging shorts for the gym…

They’re getting a little tighter.

(And, unfortunately, it’s *not* because your squat game’s on point.)

Yes, it’s super frustrating. And it’s especially frustrating, considering that you’re sacrificing your pre-work time (that could be spent enjoying a delicious breakfast) for a workout that’s apparently not even working. I mean, here you could be investing those precious hours on priceless tasks. (*cut to mindless drooling and scrolling through Reddit from bed*) But, no. You’re here, grinding away in sweaty dedication. Yet your once loose fitting shorts are getting tighter anyway.

But, according to the pros, maybe the problem’s that you should be having that breakfast first, after all. And, not only that, but maybe you should be adding some specific goodies to it, too. See, by enjoying a nice high fiber, plant based breakfast, you already keep your metabolism happy all the way up until lunch. That’s a suggestion you’ll hear from anyone worth their weight-loss-advice-giving weight. But, what should also be scattered in there somewhere, is this little magic, fat blasting article of ammunition called:

Vitamin C.

Why vitamin c?

Because: science. (What other reason could there be?) See, the weight loss research behind this is significant. According to an article published in the “Journal of the American College of Nutrition” in 2005, we oxidize 30 percent more fat when we exercise – if we’re getting the suggested levels of Vitamin C in our systems on the daily. Gobble it down like a pre-workout, and you maximize that fat burning activity, too. And let’s say you abandon those love handle strangling shorts for a day or three. (To clarify, I mean skipping the gym – not getting buff in the buff.) Vitamin C will still have a favorable effect on ghosting your adipose tissue for you, because you’re still moving more from the morning on (obvi) than you do nocturnally. (No, I’m not talking to you, Gertrude graveyard shift. Yes, can eat your C in the evening.) And how’s it do this? In part, through a specific substance our body’s harbor called carnitine. Made by the liver and kidneys, this stuff morphs fat into energy. Just what we want, right? But nothing’s free. And the key that unlocks this magical action is (…you guessed it…) vitamin c.

So, now that you’re good and convinced, you’re probably racking your brain.

You’re trying to find a natural means to get your vitamin c.

And… that’s what I’m here for. Me and this list of weight loss awesomery:

(Funnel ‘em straight into your face or dump ‘em in a smoothie. Your body’s not picky.)

Sure, you can pop a pill filled with the vitamin, if you like. So long as the ingredients are natch, it shouldn’t be an issue. But, considering the fact that a plant based breakfast high in fiber’s gonna keep you from all those other things that make you feel portly in your gym shorts (like mid morning snacking when your sugar drops or skipping the gym ‘cause you don’t have the energy), why not just eat it in its full form? Why not try the uh-mazing options above?

Whatever route you choose, the verdict remains the same:

Rise with some vitamin c each morning, and you can put those ill fitting gym short issues to bed.
